Deposit
A deposit of £75.00 will be required from all hirers to cover possible loss or damage to contents, etc. This will be returnable by post, within 14 days, after deduction of the costs of any such loss, damage or infringement of the terms of the agreement.

Church Room - Rules & Conditions of Hire 2002
General Rules
- Charges for hiring shall be paid in advance.
- Notice of cancellation of hiring shall be given seven days in advance. In the absence of such notice the hirers must pay the full hiring fee. - unless the Rector and church wardens deem otherwise.
- The person or organisation to whom the Room is let shall be responsible for:
- Its proper and orderly use.
- The observance of any legal requirements governing such use.
- Any additional insurance which may be deemed necessary due to the nature of the letting.
- Leaving the Room in a clean and tidy condition, or an additional charge of £5.00 per hour will be charged for cleaning.
- Ensuring that the Room is secure on leaving - that doors are locked, windows closed, lights extinguished, heaters and water heater turned off , kettle and urn emptied, etc., and that the key is returned to the Key-holder.
- The hirer will be liable for any damage done to the Room and/or contents; breakages or loss, etc.
- A deposit of £75.00 will be required from all hirers and shall be returned by post, via the Booking Clerk, within 14 days, after deduction of the costs of any damage, breakages, or infringements of the terms of the agreement.
- The Parochial Church Council reserves the right to refuse any application or to refuse admission to any individual, without assigning any reason.
- The hirer or some responsible person nominated by him/her in writing for the purpose, (not under the age of 21 ) shall be in charge of and upon the premises during the whole of the hiring period. The person in charge shall not be engaged on any duties which shall prevent them from exercising general supervision.
- Any comments on the hiring or other arrangements associated with it, are to be submitted to the Parochial Church Council in writing.
Intoxicating Liquors
No intoxicating liquors are permitted to be brought in or consumed on the premises.
Betting, Gaming and Lotteries
Nothing shall be done on or in relation to the premises in contravention of the law relating to betting, gaming and lotteries, and the person or organisation to whom the Room is let shall be responsible for seeing that the requirements of the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Act 1963 are strictly observed.
Safety Regulations
Nothing shall be done that will endanger the policies of the Insurance relating to the Room or contents and in particular:
- Children must not play in the Churchyard at any time.
- No obstructions must be placed in the exits, in accordance with the licence. All organisations are advised to practise their own fire and evacuation drill.
- Fire fighting appliances must be kept in their proper places and used for no other purpose. ANY damage caused by tampering will be charged for.
- No bicycles are permitted in the Room
- No smoking is permitted in the Room at any time.
Car Parking
Cars must be parked in an orderly and responsible manner and with the minimum of noise on arrival and departure. The person or organisation in charge of hiring shall be responsible for seeing that these parking regulations are strictly adhered to.
Nuisance
- Litter shall not be left in or about the Church Room. All rubbish must be removed from the premises.
- Dogs must not be brought into the Room or ChurchYard, except for Guide Dogs.
- Lettings shall normally cease at 11.00 pm., except by agreement with the Rector and Church Wardens.
- The person or organisation in charge of hiring the Room shall ensure that people leave the Room in a quiet and orderly fashion and do not cause nuisance by revving motor bikes, slamming car doors, singing loudly or shouting.
Hirers are requested where possible, to avoid the wearing of stiletto heels.
