Stained Glass
The early glass was destroyed during the reformation and the Civil War. The present
glass is Victorian dating from 1878 onwards.
The west window, above the porch, is in memory of the Rector, Arthur Majendie, who
died 15th January 1895 and initiated most of the restoration. There is also a window
dedicated by his widow in St Martin’s church.
The east window, above the high altar, and with New Testament scenes, is dedicated to the seventh Duke of Marlborough,
who died in 1883.
