 MENINGITIS COFFEE BREAK
A big thank you to everyone who either made or bought 
cakes for this event, a fantastic sum of ?130.22 was 
raised which has been split between the meningitis trust 
and Diabetes UK.  - Stella 


 SERMON SERIES
Next month, we begin a sermon series on the Book of 
Revelation.


 
PRAYER NIGHT - APRIL 22
Prayer night for this month will be on April 22 at 8 
pm.


NEWS FROM PASCAL IN BURUNDI
The Provincial Education Programme that began this time 
last year is developing well.  Over recent weeks Pascal, as 
Education Coordinator, has taken visitors from Lambeth 
Palace and CMS Ireland to see some of the progress made 
with schools for which the Province has joint responsibility 
with the Government. Other visitors have provided two days 
of Project Management Training specifically related to the 
programme for representatives from all the dioceses. This 
encouragement and support has been much appreciated.  
Pascal and his family are well and send their greetings.

DATE FOR YOUR DIARY
Here's a date for all to put in their diary.  On Sunday 18 May 
we are having a special 11am service with a focus on our 
children and young people.  We would like the whole church 
family to meet together for this service.

   
DATES FOR DUTIES ROTA
The rotas for June and July will be prepared over the coming 
weeks.  If you have not already done so, kindly inform the 
office of the dates for which you are unavailable for duties by 
Monday April 28.

 
CONCERT- TAKE THREE GIRLS
Delectable treats from light Opera and the Broadway 
Musicals Saturday 26 April 2008 - 7.30p.m.  Tickets ?6.00 
(?5.00 cons.) 16 years and under free available from St 
Mary's Church Office Witney  Tel: 01993 779613 or 
Nannette, Mary & Suzie, or on the door.  Proceeds in aid of 
Church funds.  Please come and join us for an evening of 
music and song.  Refreshments will be available at both the 
beginning and end of the concert. The Concert will last about 
an hour.


FOR THE DISPLAY OF HIS 
SPLENDOUR
All women are invited to this special day at the Centaur, 
Cheltenham on Sat 10 May.  A fantastic event which includes 
worship, teaching (guest speaker Debbie Wright), stories and 
fun. Cost ?20, invitations from Judith Ledden or by the 
noticeboard.  Deryn will be co-ordinating lifts tel. 899032


BITTER HEART BY THE WESLEY 
PLAYERS
The Wesley Players on behalf of High Street Methodist 
church preset 'Bitter Heart', a play in three acts set at the 
time of the crucifixion and the approach of Pentecost.  
Venue:  High Street Methodist Friday 25th and Saturday 26th 
April at 7:30 pm and Sunday April 27 at 6 pm.  Admission is 
free.  A retiring collection will be received to defray costs and 
for church work.

 
Wider ministry - For our prayers...
We would like to try including a short section in Update with 
details of special mission, teaching or conference events 
outside our church that the clergy or members of the 
congregation are involved in so that we can pray for them.  If 
you have something that you would like included, please 
contact the Office by 9am on the Wednesday before.

Allen Moxham will be in China for a week from 21st April
