This page gives details of some of the other activities organised by the Church.
Visitors are warmly welcome at any of our services or events.

Bible Study The current series of studies is entitled 'Journey through the Bible', and is held on Monday evenings at 7.45 for 8.00pm in St Francis Chapel, New Denham. If you would like to join us, you would be most welcome.

Bible Reading Fellowship The Bible Reading Fellowship meets on the 1st Thursday of the month for bible reading, discussion and fellowship. You will be made very welcome if you are able to join us at our meetings. Please contact the people below to find out the venue and if you need transport.

Choir If you would like to sing in our four Part choir then you could offer an invaluable gift of service to the congregation during our corporate worship. Our choir meets to practise each Thursday evening. Also, if you play an instrument and would like to play occasionally (or regularly !) do tell us.

Bell Ringing There is probably no other sound quite as evocative of country village life as church bells. Their tolling is not only a call to worship but evangelistic; a reminder to us all of the Lord Our God, who in our busy world can be forgotten.

Julian Group Do you ever feel a need to get away from all the hassles of modern life? At 7.45pm on the last Wednesday of every month, a small group meet for a quiet time of meditation and prayer. They would be pleased to see you.

Healing When we hear of people in our community who are ill we include their names in a special section of our Weekly News Sheet (Parousia). In addition to this a Prayer for Healing Group meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 7.45pm..

Vestry Teas St. Mary's Church vestry is open every Sunday and bank holiday Monday afternoon from Easter Sunday, 12th April until Sunday 18th October 2009, 3-5p.m. for serving tea/coffee and homemade cakes etc. Also do come and visit our beautiful church which is open at the same time, and enjoy a peaceful and restful afternoon. Coach parties are welcome but by prior arrangement.

Denham Fayre The Denham Fayre is held annually on Spring Bank Holiday Monday (usually the end of May) and is a major event in the life of the village community. A good time is always had by all, and volunteers are always welcome to help with the planning, set up and running.

Pastoral Care Team This is voluntary care work in the community. It provides lifts to people without transport for hospital visits etc. Pastoral Care provides a friendly face and help to any in the Parish who are in need. It does not require "Experts" but carers. It works in co-operation with local Social Services care.
