Sale of Cards
I thought you would like to know, that the amount of money raised from July 2007 to December 2008 from the sale of cards, was £409.65. My thanks to all of you, for providing me with the cards, and of course for purchasing the finished article. Nicky Smith.
VISIT TO LINDISFARNE - 1st May to 4th May 2009
Please note, there is a list again at the back of the church. It has names from the original list and new. If your name is on the list and you can no longer go, please cross your name off and if you would like to go, add your name. A Deposit of £50 is required as soon as possible, payable to Kidlington PCC, sent to Trish at the Parish Office.
  • Friday 1st May. Depart Kidlington 9.30 am. Arrive Ripon 1pm to visit Cathedral and Fountains Abbey and a lunch stop. Arrive Holiday Inn Washington County Durham, in the late Afternoon, where we will have half board accommodation
  • Saturday 2nd - Depart Hotel at 9.30 to visit Jarrow before travelling to Lindisfarne where the Causeway is open between late morning and 7p.m. - Dinner at Hotel
  • Sunday 3rd - After Breakfast travel to Durham by coach for the Cathedral Eucharist at 11.15. Spend the rest of the day until late afternoon in Durham before returning to the Hotel for Dinner Monday 4th - Depart Hotel at 9.30 and travel home visiting Rievaulx Abbey on the way. Reach Kidlington in the late afternoon.
  • Cost if we have 40 in the party should be about £200. If the weather is unkind there could be changes in the itinerary.

    Ecumenical Lent Groups, 2009
    Churches Together in Kidlington is again organizing ecumenical house groups for Bible study/discussion/worship this year for five weeks from the week beginning 2nd March. [Read more ...]

    North Kidlington School is taking part in the, The Times Books for Schools promotion. If you are a Times reader and would like to support us, could you please save the Books for schools tokens and put them in the collecting box at the back of the church. Thank you, Ann Ling.
    KIDLINGTON NEWS
    A distributor is needed to deliver 13 copies of the Kidlington News to houses in the Crown Road area. The News is published under the auspices of the CHURCHES TOGETHER IN KIDLINGTON and contains news from the village churches and societies.     GLEBE HOUSE SERVICE 1st Feb
    It will be our turn to lead the above Service on Sunday, February 1st at 3pm. I hope some of you can spare a little time to come and join in the hymns or read a lesson/prayer/play an instrument etc. I am open to suggestions if anyone has any ideas. Pam Cooper
    MOTHERS' UNION 6th Feb
    The Diocesan President, Primrose Gallimore, will be the Speaker at our Branch meeting in the Refectory, Friday 6th February at 9.45 for 10.00am. She will be talking about her visit to the MU World Wide regional Conference in Toowoomba, Australia, when she met together with other DPs from around the world, to share experiences, celebrate diversity of cultures, build relationships, identify goals and plan for the future. All are welcome to come and listen as I'm sure it will be of interest to many.
    TRAVELLING THE WAY OF FAITH 18th Feb
    Are you interested in exploring more about the journey of the Christian faith? Do you want to mark a stage in your journey of faith? Are you interested in adult baptism or confirmation? Come and be part of a parish enquiry and nurture group, each of us seeking to learn the Way of Christ. This group is open to adults and young people. An initial gathering will be on Wednesday 18th Feb, from 8pm to 9pm at St John's Vicarage.
