Welcome to our Parish

Welcome to the Anglican Parish of Kidlington with Hampton Poyle, in the Diocese of Oxford, and welcome to our three churches.

Kidlington is now one of the largest villages in England, with a population of around 17000. Although only six miles north of Oxford, our parishioners our proud of their community life and their independence from the city. The village is served by two churches

  • The mediaeval Parish Church of St Mary the Virgin, at the eastern side;
  • The Church of St John the Baptist at the southern end of the village, which in 2009 celebrated its 50th anniversary.
Separated from Kidlington by the meadows of the River Cherwell is Hampton Poyle, a small hamlet of about 150 served by
  • The Church of St Mary the Virgin, Hampton Poyle.

Our churches were built for all in the community, and have been used day in and day out for over 700 years. Do join us at any of our services.
