2007 July: TIG with Bishop John
On Sun July 22nd 2007, Bishop John came to join with youth group TIG in their last session before the summer holidays. He joined in an energetic game, heard about the group beginning to raise money for the charity Send-a-Cow, and talked with the group about himself and about being a bishop. We heard about some of the things he likes to collect - including antique cameras, and some cheap and cheerful 'tat' that he looks out for in his travels around the world. He showed us some of the special vestments that he wears on official 'bishop' occasions, and led us in a time of reflection thinking about our hopes for the future and placing our hopes and prayers on a prayer tree.
