On this site you can join the St Giles Oxford
Community through the internet, see pictures of the church and learn some
of our history. You can ring the bells, open the North Door and even hear
the famous St Giles choir at work. Please browse for as long as you wish -
and send us a message if you feel so inclined (email links are at the top of each page). Use the navigation links on the left - or one of the links
below to explore. The church is normally open from 12.00 noon to 2.00pm on
most weekdays and during our advertised services.

BRIEF HISTORY
St. Giles Church has a very long and interesting history. It
is a medieval church, which was originally situated outside the borders of Oxford, dating
back to A.D. 1086. Oxford is an historic town, and St. Giles certainly adds to the
mystery of the ancient town. A full history of the Church, taken from a book by Leslie
